I am interested to see what everyone else thinks about a device called a scanning pen. This type of tool has the ability to scan text (numbers, letters, words, documents, newspapers, magazines, receipts, etc.) and export it into any application. (Microsoft Word, Excel, RSS Feeds, Blogs, etc.) I find this to be very interesting. This tool is not necessarily limited for the use of students with disabilities or students in general. This tool can be used by anyone to assist in transferring information from a hard/physical copy to a digital/electronic source. People who do not enjoy typing, or it takes them a long time to type could use this device to quickly and efficiently "copy and paste" into different settings. It could also be used in the classroom as a fun tool for students to learn the mechanics of, as well as students who do not have the cognitive/motor capabilities to read something and then type it on a keyboard. This scanning pen could become effective in every aspect of education as well as everyday living. What are your thoughts? Is this pen worth $100-200?  Effective or Ineffective?
