Seeking easy and cheap (or free!) tool for office hours signup sheets

Hi colleagues,

Several of the academic departments here at Tufts have requested a free (or very low cost) tool to allow students to sign up for office hours online. Doodle and Google calendar get close, but are not quite right.

This could be a tool used for any kind of signup sheets, but it needs to allow only one person to sign up for each slot (unlike Doodle) and for students to be able to change the slots they signed up for, but not alter those that others have created (unlike Google calendar). I feel like there must be good tools for this out there, but my colleagues and I have looked, but to no avail.

Thanks, but I don't see a link to a tool - did you include one?
Have you tried Google docs? I would guess the spreadsheet or even a form might be a way to gt started.
I would use a Google form. It puts your data in a nice easy to read spread sheet that you can export into Excel or just leave it online.

Here is a video that shows you how to create one.
