Skype partners wanted!
Our fourth graders are looking for Skype buddies of a similar age to chat with throughout the Spring. We are an Episcopal school in Tampa, Florida and would love to share ideas and learn about new friends in other parts of the U.S, Canada, or Mexico. (Similar time zones that would make communicating during school possible.) We have three fourth grade classes and I would like to set each class up with their own partnering class. Please let me know if you are interested.

Because of conflicts with prescheduled activities, I can only get 2 classes on board. The two on Tuesday. If it really works better for you to work with one contact for all 3 schools, I certainly understand!

No. No. This will be fine and I'm grateful for your help. I won't be ready to start up for a couple of weeks, but I would really like to work with the two teachers on Tuesdays. Thanks.

I am an ETS in Northern NY. I work with k-12 students. I am always looking for great opportunities to use skype with students. If anyone is interested in a project, and I can line it up....that would be great!

I will contact my grade 4 teacher. Would you like to do a book review on a piece of literature? I emailed the times, and we will see if it works. Hopefully it will:-) Let me know your ideas. I would love to get you in contact with the teacher in the classroom.

Because I am not a grade 4 classroom teacher I can not change their cirriculum to include something like that. I was thinking more along the lines of working on communication/questioning skills. This will be our first experience Skpying and I wanted them to plan out thoughtful questions for the other students about their region of the country, how life's different/same as a fourth grader, etc. Where is your school located again?

We are in eastern Iowa. I do have 2 classes that could make it work, but unfortunately, not 3. The times are:
Tuesday 9:23-10:03 CST
Tuesday 2:54-3:35 CST
Central Standard.
We could be on board with your plan: interviewing each other on same/different etc.
