Skyping with Educators and Skyping with Classrooms/Students

I was excited to see that Classroom 2.0 is doing a webinar on Skyping! I wanted to know if anyone out there has used the Skype for Educators that is in beta form right now. I currently am involved in the evaluation of the tool.

I am also interested in anyone that would like to help connect their classrooms with Buckingham County students.....I have K-12!

Using Skype in the classroom is a great idea. I am happy to hear that the people of Skype are making one for Educators. All students would benefit from this. Students can collaborate with other students from a different country which can open students minds to new ideas. Many times different cultures think differently and this can help other students open their minds more and think in new and different ways. This could also be used with kids who are at home sick so that they do not miss the days lessons at school.

I know this post is very old but I would like to do a few Skype sessions for this upcoming school year 09/12-05/13. Anyone interested? I teach 10-12 grade but our school is a 9-12 grade expanding to add grades 5-8 by 09/13.
