Small research project - please help?

Dear all,

I hate to be "that person" who signs onto a discussion board for the first time and starts to beg help from people... but... as part of a graduate class I am taking in international education, I need to find a teacher who is willing to answer a few short questions for me about an international project they have done in a K-12 context. The questions are brief and will not take long - I don't want to take up any more of your time than is necessary.

1. Why did you wish to begin a global collaboration project?

2. How did you go about finding another teacher with whom to collaborate?

3. Did you come up with the activity by yourself, or did you do it in conjunction with the other teacher?

4. Can you describe your project? Which global collaborative elements were included?

5. What types of technology did you use, and did you have any challenges with access to technology or operational difficulties?

6. Were there any internet safety issues you had to deal with, and if so, how did you cope with them?

7. Were parents, other teachers, and administrators supportive? How did their opinions influence the activity?

8. How successful was the activity?

9. Did you feel the activity engaged the students at a different level than usual classroom activities do?

10. How did this activity enhance student learning outcomes?

11. Were there any challenges you would warn another teacher about before engaging in a similar activity?

12. Do you plan to incorporate global collaboration in future lessons?
