Social media to enhance understanding of art & design industry

I am about to start a project with my BTEC Level 2 art & Design (16/17 year olds) students on careers in the Art & Design industry. Due to the relatively low attention span of this group of learners I want to use technology the are familiar with to try and increase engagement and understanding. Can anyone recommend a social media platform that would be suitable to use? I'm looking for something with a balance between safeguarding issues and valuable vocational insight - all comments gratefully received!
