I was at a training today with Robert Marzano about how our district is implementing the SBRC. We seems to be on the right track. However a lot of what he said for ability grouping, allowing students who are already meeting standards goes against what IB wants us to do. Not to mention my administration as well.

I am having a hard time making a connection to all of this since so much of it is one way or the other.

In the end I think it is what is best for students. Not what is best for IB, or SBRC, or TCAP or any other acronym you can name. Maybe I a wrong but teaching is about getting kids as far as you can take thiem in the time given.
