Is anyone working with AERO Standards? If so, are you standards-based, or standards-referenced? What's your opinion of the standards? Do you have any difficulty in interpreting them? What's your opinion when they're compared with State standards?

If those are the standards described in http://www.projectaero.org/standards.htm, I'm sorry but I'm not a big fan of standards that start with a verb, because they introduce an element of subjectivity and bring up assessment issues. For example, how would one know that a student has sufficiently "demonstrated?" A helpful resource for understanding learning goals might be http://www.project2061.org/publications/rsl/online/GUIDE/CH2/IBENCH.... Hope this is helpful!
