One topic it am very interested in regarding Google Apps is reforming our district interdisciplinary STEM project to work with Google Docs and related applications. I've worked on the STEM team for two years now, and one thought I had after learning about Google Apps was that we could use Google Drive and related applications to explore our STEM topics and to store student progress and work. Every core class accesses previous student work from other classes, so the ease of saving everything to Google Drive is a definite plus, as students wouldn't lose work completed in other classes. However, as there are so many apps out there that are easily compatible with Google apps, I was also thinking that we could digitize our process further by using outside compatible apps with the project so students can work at their own pace and explore resources that are relevant to their individual projects. In sixth grade, students explore ways of preventing and reducing the incidence of disease, so I was curious if anyone knew of any resources that could work with this type of project. I was also curious if anyone had created an interdisciplinary project using Google resources before and if there were any suggestions on how to get started.
