We’ve seen the documentaries and heard the statistics frequently enough to know that bullying is a problem. Less often, though, are teachers presented with practical solutions for replacing bullying with positive behavior.
We want to take a proactive stance on bullying and we’re doing it with the help of Mike Dreiblatt, a veteran teacher and president of Stand Up to Bullying.
On August 14 at 3:30 pm EDT, Dreiblatt will be presenting Strategies to Reduce Bulling and Social Aggression, a free webinar that will provide listeners with strategies to:
Identify the common traits of the bully, the bullied, and the bystander
Develop a school-wide response to bullying, cyber bullying and social aggression.
Prevent bullying from gaining a foothold in schools
The webinar will run from 3:30 to 5:00 PM EDT on Wednesday, August 14. Even if you can’t attend the live event, we would encourage you to register anyway so that you can listen to the webinar on-demand at your own convenience.
Mike Dreiblatt is not only a bullying and violence-prevention expert, he is also an authority on the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA 2004) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, offering easy to understand seminars to teachers and administrators. In addition to this, he is co-author of How to Stop Bullying and Social Aggression and author of numerous articles related to bullying prevention and character education.
