I just came across this letter generating program on readwritethink.org. I created a sample letter using the program and not only was it easy to use, but provides explanation and information for each part of the letter you are writing. It gives the user the option of creating a business letter or a letter to a friend. There is not requirement for students to sign up for an account or download any files, making it easily accessible for use in the classroom or computer lab. The site also provides lesson ideas for grades K-12. I just wanted to share the link and see if anyone had any ideas of how they might be able to use it with their students.

Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing. I went to an Assessment Meeting yesterday and he shared this website. I am so glad that others have found it and think that it is very useful.
I love this website I like how it incorporates not only technology, but writing too. This is a fun way for students to learn how to write different types of letters. Students love using the computer to do lessons and other activities, this is just another way to incorporate technology. I wish I had this when I was in school!
Wow! Thank you so much for sharing that website.  This can be used in any grade, and I think it would be benificial for students who have poor writing skills.  Students who do not like to write, are students who have a hard time writing.  But when they are given a task that is appealing, like writing a letter to a friend, they not only get to learn how to correctly write a letter, but also work on their writing skills, willingly.
