Suggestion for a chat/discussion board solution idea for all-school homework help setup
Our NHS chapter is interested in offering an online homework help desk (via email), with the availability for chat.
The chat part is difficult. I need a suggestion of a host for the chats:
It needs to have easy outside access
EASY for kids to join and use
Something password protected would be a plus
Easily monitored, or recorded would be a godsend.
Ideas folks?

Hey have you looked at etherpad? http://etherpad.com/ can be free unless you want privacy, though the "public" pad is really only easily findable with a shared coded URL.

another good tool is Edmodo, can be closed down, if you would be happy with the 140 character microblog format.http://www.edmodo.com/
