Teachers that want to be published.

After almost 25 years of experience I have a lot of ideas for children's books. However, the process getting started and then getting someone's attention is brutal. I am wondering if teacher could get something going.

I know we all have some amazing stories to share. So, how can we do this?

Here are just a few ideas I have had.

Chicken S#%T for the Soul

The Skunk with a Stinky Attitude (Special Needs)

Standing up for Kim (Special Needs)

How I Bit My Tounge (Things that came out of my mouth instead of what I really wanted to say)

Bruce Finds His Heart (Bullying and Special Needs)

Why not self-publish? There is also www.lulu.com. My colleagues and I are releasing our first publication via PDF in 6 weeks. PDFs mean no paper and shipping costs:)

We won't need it for this study guide, but the staff at lulu.com will guide you through the process and then secure an ISBN for you. They can also sell copies of your work through amazon.com. Their rates seem to be reasonable. Check them out:)

Thank you Denise. Right now i am extremely busy. I am going to a Children's writers conference April 10. If nothing pans out there then this summer I am going to pursue the self-publishing route.
