Teaching With Intention (TWI) Chapter 3 Environment, Environment, Environment!

First of all, my apologies for not keeping this discussion going. The holidays, vacation, report cards, and breaking in a student teacher have been filling my time lately. I'm hoping we can get back on track. Especially since I'll be reading this book with a group from my school soon--I'd like to have some of YOUR thinking to share with them as well.

Anyway, don't you just LOVE how easy to read this book is? Debbie just seems to KNOW me personally and I feel like she wrote this book for me. :-)

I made a graphic organizer to go with Debbie's suggestion on page 30 for putting into columns what you like about your classroom environment, what bothers you, and what you'd like to see. I think this will be a great activity to do with staff when we read the book together. Feel free to use the attached file as you'd please. I'll try to save as a .pdf when I get to school.

Finally, I really need to get my students involved more in creating and organizing our classroom environment together. I think I'll start with allowing them to help me weed through my book baskets. I've got too many books that are not worth keeping (I have a HARD time getting rid of any book!) and I need more room for the new books I order each month from the book order.
