tech chicks

                I listened to a podcast called the tech chicks. I listened to their episode 91. This episode was about different types of technology that can be used in the classroom. It concentrated on using ipads and phones in class. They went through a series of different links you could click on to get tips on how to use different types of software in a classroom.

                One of the apps they talked about that interested me was evernote. This is an app used on macs, pc’s, phones, or IOS phones. You could make a note on this app by using recordings, text, pictures, or even texts in pictures.  This app would not only store all of that information, but you can sync all of the devices together. If you were to make a note on you ipad or phone, it would automatically sync to your computer. I think that is cool because you can have all of your notes mobile with you at all times.

                They also talked about using texting as a resource in a classroom. They talked about using it for polls and using hash tags to see common links between students. You can also make all the phone numbers anonymous so no one can see your personal information.

This was a very intestersting podcast with a lot of tips. I would reccommend it to all teachers.
