Tech Chicks Podcast

The podcast that I listened to was episode ninety five by the Tech Chicks.  These girls are a treasure to find.  They give out all sorts of tips and information on different apps, and programs that you can use.  This specific podcast talks about Sly Reply, Poll Junkie, and Question Press.  These are places that you can go to make polls and quizzes   The next group of websites that they talk about are ways to share information.  They talk about Three Ring, Pixlr, and Dropbox.  They then have a little segment about a place that backs up Macs.  Then they talk about different tools for teachers to use. They give a blog about ipads, one hundred one tools to use, and a math website called Math Chimp.  They also talk about several different apps that are useful.  They then talk about plagiarism  and the consequences that have happened to people in important positions.  They also stuck in a little segway about Angry Birds in Space.  They gave an interesting thought about this game though.  One of the girls mentioned that it taught problem solving and higher order thinking skills.  I never thought that games like this could actually be beneficial to developing skills.
