Technology for all ages

I was wondering what the different viewpoints are on the use of technology in the classroom, particularly with younger children. Do you think using technology as early as preschool or kindergarten could be a hindrance to learning? Do you think it is appropriate, or do you think we should wait until the students are older to begin integrating more technology into the classroom?
