Does anyone know of any online classes that incorporate technology in education and that can be taken for graduate credit? I came across this one http://www.uwstout.edu/soe/profdev/innovations/index.html in another post, so that made me wonder what else was out there. Anyone done any recently or know of anyone who has? Please post.
PBS teacherline offers online courses that can be taken for graduate credit or simply for professional development. Graduate credits are available through several different colleges at different rates. Most of the courses are 6 weeks long and can earn you 2 credits. I have taken five courses this way and I currently enrolled in two more. Hope this works for you! http://www.pbs.org/teacherline/
As someone who has both taught and taken classes on PBS Teacherline I have to highly recommend their courses. I am taking one right now called Capstone which consists of 3 courses around building electronic portfolios and integrating the NETS T standards from ISTE.
I had not heard of the PBS Teacherline classes before. They look to have a good variety. The Capstone class looks particularly interesting. I might look into that.
There is a new online M. Ed program in Instructional Technology offered at Auburn University Montgomery. Here's the link: http://www.aum.edu/indexm.aspx?id=1060 ....it's on the right towards the bottom. It's for people with or without an undergraduate in education.
