Technology Training for Teachers, Parents and Community Members

We are a small school in Northern Vermont and we do not have access to the SU tech integration specialist.  It's all up to a small committee of dedicated folks that we call "the tech committee."  For a long time this committee really didn't have a sense of a mission, but recently we stumbled on an idea. We are all firm believers that if adults don't model the use, comfort and understanding associated with technology, the kids won't be as interested or excited.  So we thought it would be time well spent for our committee to begin offering informal trainings around tech concepts for parents, community members and teachers.  I'm posting this hoping for some suggestions on how to start, if anyone has had experience with offering these trainings, things to think about and consider?!!  Anything!  We would offer multiple trainings of different concepts from social networking to downloading files.
