Tues, May 8: open chat w/ teacher Antero Garcia on in-school engagement

As part of a guest speaker series to spread awareness of connected learning, the Digital Media & Learning Research Hub is hosting an open discussion with teacher Antero Garcia this coming Tuesday from 9:00-10:00am PST.

Antero Garcia is a doctoral candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles and an English teacher at a high school in South Central Los Angeles. You can Follow him on Twitter at @anterobot.

Looking at examples of in-school engagement, Antero will engage in a discussion of ways that participatory culture can help foment critical pedagogy, civic engagement, and school turnaround.
