UDL vs AIM

We are currently discussing Accessible Instructional Materials in my college class. I was wondering what everyone thought about the connection between Accessible Instructional Materials and Universal Design for Learning? Do you think they are the same or that only certain parts of UDL fit into certain parts of AIM?
