Updating computer courses
I am a computer teacher and looking for some ideas to update our intro to computer class and include web based instruction. What should high school kids know in technology? any ideas?

I'd use google docs and have them collaborate on documents. Thats a profound shift on how work gets done. No more emailing back and forth.

I agree, Google Docs, or any cloud computing is going to be important to students in the future. I also believe they should be learning to use their cell phones to access information, collaborate and access their personal learning network. Most schools forbid cell phone usage, but they will be using them in their lives, why not teach responsible and productive usage of these wonderful tools?
