Use of Tablet PC in teaching

Hello Saima,

Tablet PC's can have great utility in the classroom. For example, tablets such as iPad have been used for digital reading and storytelling. Digital reading is no longer a thing of the future, it is here now and our students already participate in this type of activity, whether on computers, smartphones or e-book readers (commonly referred to as tablets).  Studies show that tablets such as iPad offer an appealing medium for reading text that can motivate students to want to read. Incorporating fluency lessons using digital texts, such as listening to read-alouds and performing Readers Theatre, can strengthen students’ accuracy, automaticity, and prosody skills; thus, improving students’ reading fluency.
