Using songs in the classroom

I would like to talk about the importance of songs in teaching English. English is a subject that people in my country complain about. They need much motive to make learn it. I do strongly beleive in using songs to facilitate the different lessons. I use songs to teach grammar, speaking, writing, reading and vocabulary. Each skill requires a certian teachnique to be used. There are a huge number of songs and singer that can help in the learning process. The teachers needs sometime to create his or her own activities that match each song.If you have extra ideas about using songs in the classroom to teach english please let me know.

I agree that using songs in order to English is helpful and beneficial. A song that I learned in school, which I felt has stuck with me and was always helpful was the prepositions song. There is a song that lists all of the prepositions. This song was used in a junior high classroom.

I agree as well that singing songs in the classroom is very useful. One song that I will always remember is the 'conjunction junction' song. I think it is a very catchy song and the students really from it.
