Hi Nausheen,
How do you conserve energy in your school and in your country?
Well This is a question that has diversity. We have adapted many alternates as we our already facing electricity shut downs ( more like ano9ther way to conserve it)
however what little that we have at the moment we do utilize it very wisely I am sending this link to you please see the videos made by the students to show how they conserve energy

What steps can be taken to Conserve energy . I hope time difference wont affect the plan
There is a 9 hour difference between NY and Islamabad.
I know that there was a movement among middle school students to replace light bulbs, we, in our classrooms do not use too much light, students were advised to turn off lights at home when not used etc.
Did you know that so called wind mills are used widely in our area?
Yea in Karachi , as its at the coast , we do have this alternate to conserve energy .Using wind energy as a substitute is also adapted by many residents.
It sounds that you will sold the energy crises. It is great that you care and you bring up kids the same way. I will try to check with other teachers on Monday on what is done in middle schools on the energy conservation.
Sorry, sold should be solve
Hi, Nausheen,

Do you know about an MIT program Blossoms? The vision of BLOSSOMS is to begin to develop a large, free repository of video modules for high school math and science classes created by gifted volunteer teachers from around the world, seeded initially by MIT faculty members and by partnering educators in Jordan and Pakistan. http://blossoms.mit.edu/. I thought it was interesting.
