Voicethread App

Sorry for not being more active in here, but did see that the Voicethread app was released today for iPhone and iPad: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/voicethread/id465159110?mt=8
I tried it quick and it worked pretty well if I had pictures in Photos app or if I wanted to use one of the cameras on the iPad2.
I hope this helps some of you, I know a few districts have iPads and hope to try it out with some of our classroom sets next week.

Thanks for the tip. I've already downloaded it. What a great first app. I was surprised to see that the VT app is more than a viewer. I'm able to create VThreads on my iPad! The VTs I tried downloaded quickly and looked good. Sound was clear, too. This will make it so much easier to conference with students, too.
The one negative was that I missed being able to view all the slides. It makes it so easy to jump to slides at the end. I found it cumbersome to get to the end of a long VT.

I'm about to introduce VThread to my class. This app arrived just in time.

Great to hear and good luck introducing Voicethread to your class. I only looked quick at it because I have Admin work due, but I recorded pretty easily. I know what you mean about viewing all of them, but running it this way from an iOS device I don't expect to have all of the bells and whistles. What's going to be nice is to not have to worry about a netbook/laptop logging on, but can sign into app and be ready to record and go view and/or record. Well, we'll see. I'm excited to see this app out there, I hope it works well. We have a few iPad carts out there, easy to record. It was easy for me to create because I had photos on iPad. Thanks for the thoughts Brien.
