Dear All , I would like to discuss the barriers we face in embedding ICT in our classroom routine. As a teacher of middle school the curriculum based schedule is hard to be incorporated with ICT . Please advise

In my institution the head is not that motivated and secondly only one lab is not sufficient to cater for all the eight subjects. The head believes that use of ICT lessons hinders the completion of scheme of work where as I believe it helps in developing faster and deep understanding of the concepts in any of the subject. The IT teacher is most of time busy in helping the head in adminstrative chores and does not have ample time to provide training and support to the subject teachers.Secondly we do have the Resource Room which is hardly used by the teachers. It is head's responsibilty to create an environment of interest and encourage them to use and evaluate the use of ICT.
