I am a first year superintendent and have a couple of teachers that want to write their own textbooks by using our state standards as the format. Does anyone have knowledge of the Core Knowledge curriculum as a supplement to our standards. Also I was going to purchase them a couple of wiki books to get them started but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also sources that we could look at would be nice.

I don't know what wiki engine you plan to us , but MediaWIki, the wiki engine of Wikipedia, has ben used by wikibooks, a repository for wiki texbooks.

For books I can recommend Professional Wikis and MediaWIki.

I hope this helps, I am working on such an endeavor myself.
Thanks Steve for the info, if I get different information be happy to pass it along.

You can learn about wikis and wiki syntax at http://mediawiki.org and of course http://wikipedia.org
