A friend of mine just sent along a link to the Yale School of Art's new site, almost entirely student-generated through an open wiki platform. With the exception of certain "critical" information like info for applicants, students all have a password and can change text and image files throughout the site:
http://art.yale.edu/HomeI've checked back a few times and, based on the number of changes every couple of hours, the students are fairly excited. Now, my students aren't all emerging artists, but I'm thinking that usign wikis in the class is a great way to excite and empower students.
Anyone have any ideas or experiences with using wikis to generate projects/class sites, etc.?
