I have been learning about writers workshop in my college courses and think it's really a great process.  Does anyone have anyone have any fun or creative ideas for writers workshop?  I am excited to use writers workshop when I begin teaching so any helpful tips would be great.

This is the best book that I found:

Guiding Readers and Writers (Grades 3-6): Teaching Comprehension, Genre, and Content Literacy
by Irene C. Fountas, Gay Su Pinnell

The Daily Five is also really good. Beth Newingham also has an amazing website with resources for teachers, everyone should check it out: http://hill.troy.k12.mi.us/staff/bnewingham/myweb3/
