Spam from Beginners group

I don't know if ning etiquette is appropriate for me asking this in an open forum like this. So I apologize in advance if I'm creating a faux pas.
Is anyone else receiving spam emails from the Beginner Group at Classroom 2.0? I have gotten 3 emails in 3 days from someone named Johnathan Green trying to promote a dating service. I'm not sure how to change privacy settings to delete this junk, but I don't want to "unjoin" the ning and miss the PLN and support just to avoid this guy.

Why not send a message to Steve Hargadon ? He created this site. I am sure that he wants to know about hackers. Click on his name o the right and you will be linked to his e-mail. There are many resources here and we don't want anyone spoiling our fun.

I am receiving such spam emails too. Been deleting them. Not sure what to do too.

Ditto! I haven't been a member for very long and was considering deleting my membership because of the spam. Just got another spam. I haven't been paying any attention to the sender, but it always has "Classroom 2.0" in the subject. I agree. We need to make Steve aware. Has someone contacted him, or he may be on it already as I'm sure he's keeping tabs on the discussions.

Thank you for posting, Tami. This is a problem. I just opening my gmail account and found a message from Johnathan Green advertising a special offer to play games for free through Classroom 2.0. Then I checked my spam and found 5 messages on dating and getting rich schemes. I'm reporting the spam and sending an email to Steve. Anything else I can do to get rid of this unwanted junk?

Sorry, these are really hard to catch, even when I am having to approve every new member that signs up for the network! Ugh! I'm going to delete Mr. Green right now. Keep me posted!
