Collaborating for REAL Student Improvements!

As you visit/join this Distance Collaborations Group, you may want to give a few stats about yourself and your education position to let new/old group members know how they can collaborate with you.

Additionally, here's a terrific project where high school and college students can collaborate locally AND globally. There are infinite possibilities out there!

Hi all

I am head of science in a secondary school (11-19) in Wales, UK. I am look to collaborate with similar aged students on the subject of: Research in the Classroom - not research into education, but actual scientific research.

Recently I investigated the de-inking of office paper prior to recycling - we took this project over an accademic year and have some real, blue sky results. I would love to collaborate with other schools on similar projects.

I blog at: http://glengilchrist.tumblr.com and tweet at: http://twitter.com/mrgpg

JoAnn and Randi,
I direct the Enabling Support Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit that is working internationally to support education in general and with a special needs focus.
We have programs in Pakistan, Morocco, Australia, Cameroon, and others. Send your email address and your plans and needs to drz@enabling.org and we can get something going for the Fall.

Hi all,

Anyone running wellness initiatives or 'green' initiatives at their schools and want to collaborate on Google Maps? My colleague and I have set up this google map for publishing the work we are doing in our town around composting, recycling, gardening and our wellness initiative next year. We are looking to inspire work in our local community with some great projects.
