Global Awareness Activity

For my global awareness activity I chose the cultural quiz for my AP Statistics students to complete.  I had them pick two different countries to pick and complete the quizzes on, one country had to be the one that they identified themselves with (mine was France since my mom's whole family is from Canada or France) and pick a country that you wanted to visit during college.  They took both of these quizzes and then we discussed the distribution of scores 

I chose this because I know that many of my students would be traveling or studying abroad in the near future and they had to become aware of different cultures.  My goal was not to have them learn about the specific differences, but to have them become aware that different countries may have different norms and may be offended by some things that my students would perceive as normal.  This way when travelling they take the time to learn about a country before visiting.
