One of my all time faves is Mosaic of Thought by Susan Zimmerman and Ellin Keene.

I'm JUST starting Ellin's To Understand. Anyone interested in reading/discussing it with me?

Growing Readers by Kathy Collins ( I just started this one; she has a new book out this summer.)
From my reply to the kids' books post, you know I LOVE children's and young adult literature. But I am CRAZY about professional books. No, wait - I am addicted to professional books.

Both Mosaic and To Understand would be on the top of my list.

Teaching Essentials by Regie Routman nearly made me weep because it validated me in such a profound way.

Jeff Anderson's Everyday Editing is an amazing grammar resource, as is his Mechanically Inclined.

Reading with Meaning by Debbie Miller

Knowing and Teaching Elementary Mathematics by Liping Ma

Smart Answers to Tough Questions by Elaine Garan - What a RESOURCE!

Comprehension Connections by Tanny McGregor

Starting Small by the Teaching Tolerance Project

Units of Study by Lucy Calkins

I could go on, but I'll post more after I read other posts.

Anything by Lucy Caulkins (especially The Art of Teaching Reading)
Growing Readers by Kathy Collins
Strategies that Work by Stephanie Harvey and Anne Goudvis
Mentor Texts by Lynne R. Dorfman and Rose Cappelli
Mosaic of Thought by Susan Zimmerman and Ellin Keene

This doesn't include what I am currently reading.

Reading With Meaning by Debbie Millar

To Understand is a great follow up to Mosaic of Thought! I read a few months back (ordered it from Heinemann, I think?) and loved it. Read it in one weekend! Keep me updated. I'd love to hear your thoughts...
Most current favorites: The Daily 5, Breaking the Code
Also on my list: Mosaic of Thought, Reading with Meaning, Strategies that Work, Literacy Through Play

Thanks, Michelle for the note about using the Classroom2.0 bookstore. I'm fairly new and hadn't heard of this yet!
Ditto, Ditto, Ditto- I really can't think of a "new" one to add-
