One of my all time faves is Mosaic of Thought by Susan Zimmerman and Ellin Keene.

I'm JUST starting Ellin's To Understand. Anyone interested in reading/discussing it with me?

From my reply to the kids' books post, you know I LOVE children's and young adult literature. But I am CRAZY about professional books. No, wait - I am addicted to professional books.

Both Mosaic and To Understand would be on the top of my list.

Teaching Essentials by Regie Routman nearly made me weep because it validated me in such a profound way.

Jeff Anderson's Everyday Editing is an amazing grammar resource, as is his Mechanically Inclined.

To Understand is a great follow up to Mosaic of Thought! I read a few months back (ordered it from Heinemann, I think?) and loved it. Read it in one weekend! Keep me updated. I'd love to hear your thoughts...
