Since elementary teachers have special circumstances to deal with concerning the use of technology, I thought we could meet here to talk and to share ideas for 2.0 integration.

Lori, The Partnership for 21st Century Skills is an excellent site for everything you want to know about 21st century skills from both the teacher and student perspectives. You should also check out Route 21. How about creating a blog and including an overview of these excellent resources.
How about getting photos online of the technology that kids can use in today's world? (ipod nano, ipad/laptop, digital camera, smartboard, flip video, etc.) and then kids could write or type how they use those things... as the year progresses, you could hang up projects they do w/the tools you have. Just my quick brainstorm!
Hi all!
I'm Hugo. Currently I'm a primary principal as well as helping grade 6. My school is Tunas Muda International School in Indonesia. Great to see this elementary room...
Lori, do you mean a web-based one, like Wall Wisher?

I am a technology teacher who is always looking for ways to increase technology integration. We are really accelerating the use of 2.0 tools and integration in the middle grades, but I am interested in wasy people are doing this with the younger students. Looks like this will be a great group for this!
Hi, everyone. I am launching a new global, collaborative classrooms project this year on Food and Culture. I'd like to invite your participation. It was partially inspired by Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution, the One Day on Earth global film project, the Edible Schoolyard, and my grandchildren. Also see our new Netvibes site and the beginning of the project wiki.
This project will be a very exciting way for students to utilize all kinds of technologies as they collaborate with people all over the world.

Hi Patty,
I'd love to join your project. We've done Skyping and Voicethread collaboratively with other 2nd graders, so we're game to try something new. Perhaps we can plot our data thru Google Docs. Can you email me directly to start planning - yayafaith@aol.com. Looking forward, Faith
I am planning a collaborative weather project for the 2010-2011 school year and I am looking for a couple of second grade teachers in the midwest, southwest, northwest, Alaska, or Hawaii to join this project. I will involve recording you high and low temperatures and weather conditions and reporting them. I think it will be extremely benefitial for all the children involved.
