Hi. I am a Computing and Education Masters student at Teachers College Columbia University and am interning at MixedInk this semester (www.mixedink.com). MixedInk is a great online collaborative writing tool that lets students write essays collectively.

I am researching how educators can best use MixedInk in the classroom and improve students’ writing skills. I am looking for feedback regarding which standards-based lesson plan ideas would be most appealing to help inform case studies that I’ll be developing.

If you are:

  • a high school social studies teacher (or an instructional technologist who works closely with social studies teachers), visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/G2H6SZJ to vote on the collaborative writing projects you would be most interested in implementing.
  • a high school English teacher (or an instructional technologist who works closely with English teachers), visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GKYJKL3 to vote on the collaborative writing projects you would be most interested in implementing.

Please rate the choices based on the type of assignment I’m presenting, rather than the specific content referenced.

The survey should only take a few minutes. I would greatly appreciate your help and feedback.

Thank you very much,
Bryan Rosen

Thanks for the fantastic support - your feedback on my lesson ideas has been enormously helpful. The survey closes on Wednesday, so there's still time to weigh in if you haven't already. Here's the link:
