My district has been dabbling a bit with Google Apps and we have accounts for our principals, secretaries, and instructional coaches.  The more we use it and the more other teachers start to see the benefits of personal Google accounts, the more people request it.

There's been some turnover with our district, so I'm trying to find some information about creating more accounts.  If anyone could answer the following questions for me, I'd greatly appreciate it.

1.  Do you have to pay for more than 50 accounts?
2.  When we try to create more accounts, we're given a message that says we can't.  Is this because we've exceeded 50 accounts?
3.  Is anyone else having difficulty with the email associated with their Google Apps for Education account?  I cannot receive mail sent to my Google account.  I've checked spam mailboxes, etc., and there is nothing there.  People that try to email me at this address get a non-deliverable message.

I'd appreciate the help very much!

Are you sure you have the Education edition? Education account can have more than the 50 allowed for standard accounts. There is no charge for additional accounts. If you are not using the education version you can request an upgrade here--

Hello Klista

No, the Education edition of Google Apps is unlimited and free

2. When we try to create more accounts, we're given a message that says we can't. Is this because we've exceeded 50 accounts?
You must request more user accounts. In "Dashboard", just below the number of users you currently have there is the option to Request more users. You should be redirected to this page https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/YOURDOMAIN/RequestMoreUsers

3. Is anyone else having difficulty with the email associated with their Google Apps for Education account? I cannot receive mail sent to my Google account. I've checked spam mailboxes, etc., and there is nothing there. People that try to email me at this address get a non-deliverable message.
Sounds like the mail settings are not configured correctly. In "Dashboard", under Service Settings there should be a green coloured URL under Mail to show that it is correctly configured.

Hope this helps!

You need to get google apps for education then it is free.
Hey Klista,

As for your first two questions, I'll just agree with what was already posted. All you need to do is request more accounts. We have over 600 and Google has always given us more when needed.

The last question may not be something within your power to change, but there are some changes you have to make on your internet hosting provider or web server that I didn't see you mention. You have to add "MX" entries that tell your server to forward the email traffic to Google's servers. If this is not under your direct control, your tech department should be able to make this happen. The Google documentation covers this very well so they shouldn't have any problem making the appropriate changes. If this doesn't happen, you will still have the account set up and the ability to use most of the Google goodness, but the email will be broken.

Hope this helps...
Thank you everyone! You were very helpful!
