As a grad student I have used several different google applications. As a new (I don't actual start until August) media specialists I look forward to learning new ways I can incorporate these applications into lesson plans.

If you want quantative data you could use a google form to gather user data. See an example I am working on here http://sites.google.com/site/latrobesite/regional-survey Feel free to work through it. Just dont hit "Submit" at the end. This can also be embedded in a google site very simply as per this example.

Hi all! I absolutely love Google Apps. We implemented it in our middle schools this year as a pilot - mostly Gmail and Docs. Now to evaluate the pilot. I certainly think it was amazingly successful and have many examples to demonstrate its power in collaboration/learning. However, I'd like to prepare a more formal evaluation of Google Apps for my district. Any ideas? How do you all evaluate a pilot?

Don't use the computer much in my ESL lessons yet, but hope to in the future. Want to move into online education and need to know my stuff.

While it there is not a "Save As," there IS File>Make a Copy which does the same thing.

I agree. I am struggling with the same issue. It is a lot easier if you want to use the same form for everyone to open the google spreadsheet then down load it to a regular Exel file. Then you can separate the comments and save, copy or save as anything you want it to be as an exel file. Finally, you have to delete the rows on your google form and start fresh.
The main problem is that google forms don't have a "SAVE AS" option.

I have been excited about using Google Apps with my students and as a way to get parent input. I had the students editing a doc at one time although it got a bit scrambled here and there. I really like using the forms but I am not as comfortable with the spreadsheet that it drops the data into, as I would like to be.

Hi all.
Just started to feel my way with Google Apps for Education.
Currently grappling with poor connection speed.
Anybody got students to edit the document at the same time.
This should be great for group work in real time!
