Hello!

I am a first year math teacher in Spotsylvania, Virginia, and I am currently working through a Masters program at the University of Mary Washington. I teach Algebra I and Geometry. I hope to share sources and insights, and I am looking forward to hearing what you have to say and share. Any input of good apps or websites that geometry students can use to help them prepare for the Virginia SOLs?

I am new to Classroom 2.0, but am very excited to be here!

I teach geometry, pre-calculus, and calculus at an international high school in the U.S. and am very interested in connecting with teachers across the globe.

In particular, I am looking for teachers interested in collaborating classrooms through student-made videos, math challenges, or other ideas that will help students interact with their peers in the world through mathematics.

If you are interested, please contact me and we can discuss how we can help each others' classrooms.  Thank you!

Hello group...I am happy to add you to my Personal Learning Network (PLN).  I am a DEN Star educator.  I recently learned about this site when I was asked by DEN to present at the 2012 Social Learning Summit .  Hoping to become a productive member of this group

@Brian Hyatt;  Geogebra has some pretty good application problems.  There's a lot of them put together (even animated), you may have to do some thread searching...or even try Google Squared, you might find something which matches your needs.

Hi everyone - I am new to Classroom 2.0.  I'm following the string of discussions below and wonder how active this group is?  I'm very new to introducing technology into my curriculum and could use some ideas.  I teach the basics:  algebra, geometry and algebra 2.  If you have any ideas please let me know.  Thanks.

Hello all,I am new to Classroom 2.0 and I already posted a blog before discovering this group. Will you please check it out? I'd love to hear what technology you incorporate into your lesson, how you make math applicable to "their" world and the "real" world, and how you make math fun. Please read and share! I would appreciate it.
