Hi Everyone -- I am a computer scientist, learning program developer and entrepreneur interested in how to effectively engage industry and other employers in K-12 education.  This topic is relevant to me for two reasons.  The first is that, through The University of Texas at Austin, I run a program in Medellín, Colombia called StemDev that is helping schools engage industry in educating students.  That program is framed by the city's science and technology plan and selected industry clusters.  The second reason is that, through the University of North Texas, I am completing my Ph.D. in Learning Technologies, and my dissertation is about the nature of the relationship between K-12 and industry/employers.

More than anything, I want to explore what works, and what does not!  Industry and employers are increasingly engaged, and occasionally well integrated, in K-12 education.  It is important we understand how this relationship is best developed.
