COURSE DESCRIPTION
Spanish 318 is a course for native Spanish speakers who aim to improve their oral and writing skills, further developing in general their knowledge of Spanish Language. The course serves as a bridge between informal Spanish, often learned at home, and the formal spoken and written variations required at school, the workplace, and similar settings.
MAIN COURSE GOALS
1) To develop the ability to express oneself orally and in written form, in a standard Spanish, appropriate to professional and academic settings.
2) To develop a greater understanding of the so-called ‘Hispanic world’ cultures, with particular emphasis to Latino culture in the U.S.
3) To gain some knowledge of different methodologies and research capabilities under the MLA Guidelines.
