Daily 5 in Kindergarten

I will be starting the Daily 5 in my Kindergarten classroom starting in January. I'm curious if there are any other Kindergarten teachers using this program with their kindergarten students. If so, what suggestions do you have for me as I begin? Thank you in advance for sharing your ideas!

I will be starting the Daily 5 next school year- although some of it is incorporated in my literacy now. I am attending the Daily 5 workshop with the two sisters in June and am very excited!! You should check out their book!

Hello, Lisa,

I see that your post is from 2011, but I was wondering if you are still using The Daily 5 in your kindergarten classroom? A few of my co-workers began using it this year, while a few of us are still using more of a literacy station routine (with more options) while working with guided reading groups. Are there any pros or cons you can share?

I would love to keep this conversation going about Daily 5 in Kindergarten. I use my version of daily 5 in kindergarten. I would love to hear others thoughts on how they do Daily 5 in K!
