One of the reaons I find Macs so supportive in teaching and learning is the facilitation of digital expression. I introduce this to my students (19+ music course) each year, but this year I'm going to hammer it, as I firmly believe it will open their eyes to digital tools and give them relevant skills (beyond the music curriculum per se). I found a great post by Cole Camplese at Penn State which puts flesh on the argument and an excellent example of the power of digital expression on the BBC webiste - an item about music in New Orleans.
