Using Skype in the Science Classroom

I am considering a "penpal" relationship between one of my blocks (~30 students) and another class, somewhere out there, this spring.

We will be working on our life science unit then (cells and cell structure)

I've never used skype in the classroom before, but think perhaps a twice a month relationship with possible one on one email penpal relationships might be interesting...

Anyone interested in thinking this through with me and perhaps setting something up for say April/May?

We are not doing cells, but would like to explore skping with another class. My skype name is pwebbwilmo, try it.

Thanks to your post, in the last 10 min, I figured out how to download and use skype. I also checked out your website and glogster. You've got some great stuff going on. Congrats.

thanks... the site is a work in progress... I will NOT be using word press next year... it was a pain getting people registered.
