Any Experience with Starting a Moodle School

I want to start my own school using Moodle. I want to upload the latest version to my web host. This way, I can start to develop a few classes such as a physical science class and maybe a memory class. I also want to have a place to review algebra when I do my online tutoring. I use Wiziq for the tutoring.

Has anyone gone this route--uploading Moodle to a web host and starting as the Admin and also a user to create classes?
