Hi Joan - and I'll bet you could tie art into lots of geometry and math! I think there is some kind of question I've seen about the least number of colors you need to color the US map so no two states touching are the same color! I assume there is a mathematical formula for that too....Eileen - I'm with you on the cursive. You guys spend hours teaching it and once they get to us - they don't reinforce it...of course I do write in cursive and some of them have trouble reading it. I think we should teach it to them - so they can read it and write it if they choose - but my adult children ALL print!!!
Hi Joan, Pete VH your LMU instructor stopped by to say hi. Look'n good.
AH You chuckle! Thanks for joining the site... the next thing I learn how to do is set up a chat room... but I ran out of energy today. Glad you looked around the site though... I was so hung up on the course I haven't really looked at some of the stuff I spotted... I did see there were some art threads....
And... hmmm.... cursive.... does calligraphy count?
I browsed around this site and found an interesting discussion on whether we should teach cursive. several people said it should continue to be taught because it is an art form that demonstrates the writers feelings. Maybe cursive should be taught in art!
Just clicked on something Joan and now your group went from 1 member (you) to 2 members (you&me!)
