Trent and Huseyin,

Thanks for joining this group! I have been extremely busy with a new job, going to school full-time at night, and trying to spend some time with my family, that I haven't been able to spend much time in here.

Currently, I am finishing up a research paper at school on the benefits of nature exposure with students in special education. Most of the research is American; however, Huseyin may be interested that I also included several great sources from the UK. I think Europe is equally - or more - progressive in many ways than the US, particularly when it comes to special needs and creative nature-related programming.

At first I susptected it may be difficult to find enough solid research on this topic, but it turns out that there is more than enough. Have your read The Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv? If not, I highly recommend it, especially if you are interested in introducing students to the outdoors and nature.

Have a great day!

Dean
