I'm advising a middle school that has just won a grant award for 1:1 laptops for students. The principal posed questions today - they want to start with p.d. for teachers before the students get their laptops. What kind of p.d. are 1:1 schools providing? What has worked and what hasn't? Any suggestions?

I have developed online service for Moodle educators - http//moodle.heroku.com . The aim is to allow them create activities such as quizzes and glossaries fast because own Moodle environment isn't very friendly.

I started a wiki a couple of months ago as a resource for our instructors. I've added links to suggested Web tools and will be adding tutorials on how to use some of them as I come across them or actually find the time to create my own.

Hello everyone,
I am building a website that enables students to manage their group projects online. It enables them to create private groups, manage files and discussion, chat online, schedule meetings and task lists. It also offers guides and articles on how to run a project. What do you teachers and students out there think of this idea? Thx

Hello, I am hoping to bring Web 2.0 tools, techniques, and technologies to k12 schools in California and Hawaii who are not yet using them. It is important to me to connect learning from school to community. Our company is working currently on a new technology platform to assist teachers build these skills. I hope to learn great, practical, and exciting ideas from this forum.

I have given presentations to high school teachers and college faculty about using Web 2.0 tools in the classroom. I'm looking to expand my PLN.

Hi, I am a primary school teacher also in charge of the Media Resource Library in my school. I collaborate with the various departments in my school and also the Singapore National Library Board and Toastmaster's International, to run programmes like Public Speaking Workshops for pupils and programmes to promote reading schoolwide. I am glad to have come across this discussion group. I am looking forward to share innovative methods in teaching and ways to improve my presentations for the staff in my school.
