Gender differences -- are we still talking Tannen?

Been out of college for a while so I'd like to catch up on what's new in the field of Gender Studies. The last I heard, Deborah Tannen was the guru --- aside from the Mars/Venus guy. Do these differences still play out in the Digital Generation?
