Professional Development at SHS

The most effective professional development is focused on student achievement, relevant to the classroom and directed by our teaching staff.  The things that have improved our professional development in recent years is the emphasis on PD needs surveys, teacher presentations, and relevant information.  I believe that our school could serve as a model for professional development. The effectiveness of our PD committee can be seen in our school's critical data that shows an increase in state assessment scores, ACT scores, attendance, and graduation rate.
